12V power adapter

This power adapter has enough power to supply the Frogwatch, even while the meter is charging its battery at the same time.

Use

The 12V power adapter is supplied as standard with the Frogwatch Meter and is meant to power it (if mains power is available at the measurement location). The Frogwatch Meter can also charge its battery automatically while the power adapter is connected. Spare adapters can be ordered separately.

The connector has a screw ring that locks the adapter to the meter. This makes sure the power cable is firmly attached and does not vibrate loose.

Note: This power adapter does not have an IP65 rating and is therefore only suitable for indoor use.

Note: The 12V adapter is only intended for use with the Frogwatch Meter and cannot be connected to a battery. To charge loose batteries, you need the Frogwatch Li-ion charger.
